CPS releases FY2020 budget

On Thursday, August 8, 2019, CPS released their CPS Fiscal Year 2020 Budget. The CPS web page is here

We have not had a chance to dig into the details on the budget yet. We would love to hear from you about the actual impacts on the ground, at the school level. Capital budget hearings

Wednesday, August 21, 2019, 6-8 p.m. (registration to speak begins at 5:00 p.m.) at the following locations:

  • Amundsen High School - 5110 N Damen Ave., Chicago, IL 
  • Morgan Park High School - 1744 W Pryor Ave., Chicago, IL 
  • Whitney Young High School - 211 S Laflin St., Chicago, IL

Operating budget hearings

Tuesday, August 20, 2019, 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

CPS, 42 W. Madison


The final budget is expected to be presented to the CPS Board of Ed for a vote at its August monthly meeting, which is scheduled for Wednesday, August 28, 2019, 10:30am, CPS, 42 W. Madison. Please note that online registration to speak at or attend this CPS BOE meeting begins on Monday, August 26, at 10:30am sharp: www.cpsboe.org.
