Report Card Rally!
Hosted by Parent Empowerment Network of Chicago Illinois
Friday, June 17
8:30 - 9:30am
Portage Park, NE corner of Irving and Central
"Join us as we and other parents from Chicago Public Schools on the Northwest side rally in support of state AND city solutions to the CPS budget crisis this Friday at 8:30 am at Portage Park. In a nod to the report cards our children will be bringing home next week, we'll present our own CPS report card to our elected officials.
Bring signs with report cards and the "graded work" of Governor Rauner, Mayor Emanuel, and Speaker Madigan. Let's let them know that they are in danger of failing to progress to the next term!"

Play-In to Save Special Ed. Pre-K at Harte Elementary
1556 E 56th St
Tuesday June 21
CPS wants to close the Special Education Pre-K program at Bret Harte Elementary. Parents and community members believe this proposal will irreparably harm the students and children that they love and care about. There are other Special Ed. Pre-K programs on the South Side, but they are either filled to capacity, much too far away, or staffed without certified Special Ed. teachers.
